PABLO — USDA Rural Development in partnership with Salish and Kootenai Housing Authority will be in Pablo (56243 US Hwy 93) on Wednesday, May 11. Rural Development Housing programs assist applicants obtain home ownership in rural areas by providing payment assistance to increase an applicant’s repayment ability. Payment assistance is a type of subsidy that reduces the mortgage payment for a short time. In addition, for current very-low-income homeowners, loans are available to repair, improve or modernize their homes. Or, grants may be available for very low-income homeowners age 62 or older to remove health and safety hazards.
