POLSON — Robin Hape, M.D., FACS, has joined Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson as the only full-time general surgeon on staff for Lake County and the Mission Valley.
Dr. Hape attended college at Montana State University in Bozeman where he received a B.S. in electrical engineering and computer science. He went on to receive his medical education and training at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Grand Forks, North Dakota, where he graduated in 2002.
The board-certified general surgeon comes from the Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, where he was a surgeon for eight years. In 2007, Dr. Hape also became part of the faculty at UND as an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery.
Dr. Hape has more than 14 years of experience in the field of medicine. He performs a variety of surgical procedures including gall bladder, appendix, colonoscopy, hernia repair and cancer surgery including breast, colon and skin cancer.
Dr. Hape will see patients at the Providence St. Joseph Medical Clinic in Polson. He will be joining the surgical team in Polson that includes orthopedic surgeon Dr. Michael Righetti, and OB-GYN surgeons Dr. Jamie Straub and Dr. Kelly Bagnell.
