POLSON — The Mission Valley Aquatic Center will be closed to the public on Saturday, March 5, and Sunday, March 6, due to a home swim meet. It will close at 4 p.m. Friday, March 4, for meet setup.
The Lake Monsters’ Swim Team will host the 2016 Montana Swimming Junior B-C State Championships.
The event is open to swimmers across the state who have not yet achieved the qualifying time necessary for an invitation to the recent state championship. Swimmers will compete for individual medals, a team high-point award and the coveted traveling spirit banner, which the Lake Monsters won at last year’s event.
Swimmers will arrive by 7 a.m. and the meet will start after warm ups conclude. The team expects upwards of 250 swimmers to attend the two-day event, and volunteers and spectators are welcome.
Spectators are welcome to sit in the bleachers or around the pool deck, but are not permitted behind the starting blocks. Limited seating is available for swimmers and spectators, so please be considerate of others. Stop by and help us welcome Montana Swimming to our beautiful pool facility.
