RONAN — It’s Souper Bowl time, and a local church is once again competing to see who’s got the what it takes to score big with local food pantries.
Two teams of churchgoers at Ronan’s Seventh Day Adventist Church — the Jackson Jackals and Adam’s Anteaters — compete by donating money toward the cause. Ronan Harvest Foods was able to supply 3,456 cans of soup just above cost. Two pallets of tomato and chicken noodle soup were loaded up Thursday and taken to the church’s “playing field,” where they’ll be stacked like a goalpost until the soup is delivered to the Bread Basket food pantry in Ronan and Polson Loaves and Fishes.
