RONAN — A GoFundMe account has been set up to help Robin Nelson with medical expenses associated with her recent kidney/pancreas combination transplant. After a lifetime of living with diabetes, Nelson has recently undergone three surgeries and some complications, extending her stay at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Mark Nelson, Robin’s husband, has been in Minnesota with her. “With both my parents not working, as you can imagine this (has) become a financial burden,” daughter Micah Kemper wrote on the GoFundMe page. “That is why our family, and more specifically my parents, would be eternally grateful for your giving.” Micah continued that if friends aren’t in a position to give, that prayers for a speedy recovery are also welcome. Robin works at Bishop Insurance in Ronan and Mark works for the Lake County Transfer Station. Both Nelsons have been actively serving on a variety of boards that benefit Ronan and Lake County. The GoFundMe account goal is $15,000. Donations may be made at the site, https://www.gofundme.com/f4hdkjzd.
