Polson man killed in crash

ARLEE — A female driver from Arlee was injured Wednesday evening when she couldn’t avoid a car traveling northbound in her southbound lane on Highway 93, just south of Arlee.
The wrong-way driver, William Thomas Fritsch, a 63-year-old male from Polson, was fatally injured in the crash that occurred around 6:30 p.m. at mile marker 17.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts, and neither had passengers, according to Montana Highway Patrol dispatch. Speed was not a factor, but the road was wet. Montana Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the incident.
