Visit with Ronan Police Chief
News from the Ronan Police Department
RONAN — As part of the City of Ronan’s ongoing commitment to openness, responsiveness to the community and efforts to enhance citywide communication, the Ronan Police Department hosts a program called “Coffee with the Chief.”
This program provides residents with an opportunity to personally meet with their Police Chief in a friendly, casual and informal setting, such as a local restaurant or coffee shop. At “Coffee with the Chief” residents will learn about the operations of the police department, discuss community matters of interest and get to know Police Chief Ken Weaver.
This month’s “Coffee with the Chief” will be held Tuesday, Dec. 15 at Ronan Cafe, 113 Main Street SW from 9-10 a.m.
“Coffee with the Chief” is a reoccurring event that will take place every month at various locations in the City of Ronan from 9-10 a.m.
Name change officially approved
News from Energy Keepers Inc
PABLO — The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has approved the name change for the former Kerr Dam and former Kerr Dam Project to Selis Ksanka Qlispe. The name change, requested by the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes and Energy Keepers Inc, honors the indigenous people and their language. The order was signed and delivered Nov. 9, allowing EKI to begin to change all references to the dam including signage and tourism materials.
