Plan for weekend electricity outage

LAKE COUNTY — Bonneville Power Administration has scheduled a power outage that will begin Saturday, Oct. 17 at 11 p.m. and end at or before 7 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18. BPA has asked Mission Valley Power for the outage so that they can replace their poles and wires that connect the Bonneville Power substation to the MVP Substation. Affected areas inlcude: Polson, West Shore, Finley Point, Ronan, Pablo, Irvine Flats, Hot Springs, Camas Prairie and points in between.

This outage is in no way a result of the Tribes purchasing the Dam. BPA requested the outage a few months ago, however MVP declined because there would have been major impacts to the many summer events occurring in the outage areas.
