Bull-A-Rama to benefit Polson Police officer
POLSON — A Bull-A-Rama, a rodeo just for bull riders, is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12 at 6 p.m. at the Polson Fairgrounds.
The event will benefit Polson Police Officer William Cleveland, who has had been diagnosed with incurable cancer of the esophagus, lymph nodes in his back, lungs and liver.
Admission will be $10 for adults and $5 for kids 12 years and younger.
Perez appointed to state board
HELENA — On Aug. 21 Governor Steve Bullock appointed Tracy Perez of Ronan to the Mental Disabilities Board of Visitors.
Perez is a Mental Health Therapist for the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes Behavioral Health Program.
The Board conducts reviews of Montana’s public mental health programs and the Montana Developmental Center, and assists individuals receiving services from these programs.
Comments sought on draft non-tribal member hunting regulations
FLATHEAD RESERVATION — The Flathead Indian Reservation Fish and Wildlife Advisory Board announces the availability of the Draft of the March 1, 2016 to Feb. 29, 2017 Flathead Indian Reservation Joint Tribal/State Fishing and Bird Hunting Regulations. The Board welcomes comments from the public on these draft regulations. Copies of the Draft Regulations and other information can be obtained by contacting Germaine White, Tribal Fish, Wildlife, Recreation, and Conservation Division’s Information and Education Specialist, 406 6th Avenue East, Polson, Montana 59860 or by telephone at 406-883-2888 or by email at germainew@cskt.org.
A public meeting to receive comments is scheduled for the Division of Fish, Wildlife, Recreation and Conservation Conference Room at 406 6th Ave. East in Polson on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 4 p.m. Written comments may also be sent to Mr. Terry Tanner, Flathead Indian Reservation Fish and Wildlife Advisory Board Chairman, 406 6th Ave. East, Polson, Montana, 59860. Comments will be accepted if postmarked no later than Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015.
