High school rodeo set for Sept. 19-20
POLSON — Lake County High School Rodeo will be held at Polson Fairgrounds Sept. 19-20.
Watch as the girls and boys participate in a wide range of rodeo activities: barrels, saddle broncs, goat tying, and breakaway and possibly sports shooting. There will be a great concession stand complete with homegrown Montana beef direct from our valley.

Bull-A-Rama
to benefit Polson Police officer
POLSON — A Bull-A-Rama benefit for Polson Police Officer William Cleveland is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Polson Fairgrounds.
The performance begins at 6 p.m. and admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 years old and younger. Pepsi and Providence St. Joseph Medical Center sponsored this event. The benefit will feature bull riders and mini bull riders. Pistol Creek Rodeo Company and Hendrickson Bucking Bulls will bring the stock, and cowboys will compete for a $4,000 added purse. Attendees can take part in a 50/50, silent auction, full concession stand and beer garden, with all proceeds going to Cleveland and his family.
Cleveland was diagnosed with cancer in his esophagus, lymphnodes in his back, lungs and liver and is undergoing chemotherapy

Dragon Boat Festival planned
KALISPELL — The fourth annual Montana Dragon Boat Festival will be held on Sept. 12-13, on the northeast shore of Flathead Lake.
