The Lady Pirates had a good run at the Tip Off Tourney in Dillon, getting some good practice against hard-hitting teams like tournament champ Butte Central and capping off their weekend with a hard-fought win over Dillon.
Butte Central crushed the Lady Pirates to the tune of 25-10 in their first game, but Polson managed to turn the tables in the second round, winning 25-20 to take the split.
After dropping dropped all four sets in Saturday's matches against Whitefish and Columbia Falls, Dillon battled with Polson in a pair of back-and-forth sets, with the Lady Pirates finishing on top 25-23, 26-24. After going just 3-7 during pool play, Polson was the only Northwest team to win in tournament play.
