FLATHEAD RESERVATION — Brandon Couture joined the staff of the Tribal Conservation Officer Program on May 18, patrolling the south end of the Reservation.
“Brandon brings a wealth of enforcement experience and we’re happy to have him as part of the Conservation Officer staff. I’m impressed with his intelligence, enthusiasm, fitness level and willingness to be part of the enforcement team,” said Pablo Espinoza, Tribal Conservation Officers Chief. “I think Brandon is a perfect fit as a Game Warden.”
Brandon worked at the Tribal Prosecutors Office for two years prior to joining the Games Wardens staff. Brandon brings experience in prosecuting both civil and criminal cases.
Before serving at the prosecutors’ office, Brandon was US Air Force Security Forces for six years. As part of the military police Brandon enforced criminal laws in four different overlapping jurisdictions.
“As a Game Warden I get to take a proactive approach in preserving the land and wildlife rather than a reactive approach prosecuting offenses that have already happened,” Brandon said.
