RONAN — A cloudy start to the 13th annual Sagmiller-Williams Memorial ALS Golf Tournament at Mission Mountain Golf Course turned into a downpour by midday, but the soggy weather didn’t stop 18 teams from hitting the greens.
Westland Seed’s team of Michael Reeve, Lindsey Reeve, Zach Underwood and Chris Clary came out on top after winning a scorecard playoff with two other teams.
The annual tournament was started by David Sagmiller, son of late ALS victim Ken Sagmiller, to raise funds to help Mission Valley residents suffering from the debilitating disease and also to provide scholarships for local youth. Four high school students will benefit from this year’s fundraiser.
