FLORENCE — The Polson 12U Majors All-star baseball team recently took second place in the Flotown Invitational Tournament in Florence. This young team, with a tough defense and strong hits, made an impressive showing at their first All-star tournament of the season with wins over Florence (6-2), Gallatin Valley (11-0), Bitterroot (10-5), and Florence again (16-0). With a strong two-out rally, bases loaded, bottom of the final inning this impressive baseball team suffered their only loss of the tournament, which was against Bitterroot (3-2) in the championship game.
