ARLEE — The Montana Department of Transportation is notifying the public and seeking comments on a proposal to install two Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon crossings in Arlee, one at Whitworth/Morigeau and Highway 93 and the other at Wessinger/Houle and Highway 93. The project begins at reference post 17.4 and extends approximately 0.3 miles north to reference post 17.7.
Proposed work includes two new RRFBs and other crosswalk-related signing and pavement markings within the project limits.
The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in the summer of 2016, depending on completion of all project development activities and availability of funding.
New right-of-way and utility relocations are not anticipated.
