ARLEE — We’re still in the market for a part-time cook and we’d like to hear from someone with a good home-cooking style and experience. Somewhere out there is just the person we need. The pay is “the going rate”, ($10/hour), and we’re an easy crew to please. Our motto is... “If we don’t have to think it up, cook it up, or clean it up, we’ll eat most anything served up to us!”

Come Saturday, June 13, the center is having a spring yard/ rummage sale from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. We have a good collection of a great variety of items, from appliances to antiques, and dishware to jewelry, Avon collectible bottles, pictures and picture frames, books, electronics, and gardening tools. We have even “knick-knacks and paddy-wacks.” There will be hot coffee for early birds until 10:30 a.m.

Our Arlee Senior Center is very much missing Vi Tanner. One of the earliest supporters of the organization, she was a faithful and giving member for many projects and activities. We’ll be remembering her, with a salad in hand for the potluck, when we join the gathering of family and friends at the Brown Building in Arlee on Sunday, June 14, from 1-4 p.m., to reminisce and honor her memory with good food, old friends, and lively music.

Lunches are served at noon every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  An evening meal is served at 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturdays of the months.

Take-out meals are available and can be delivered to qualified seniors. We play bingo after Saturday evening meals if enough people are willing to hang out for another hour.
