Area softball players honored

Several local athletes were named to all-state and all-conference softball teams following their postseason runs.
For Polson, Lady Pirate Taylor Brackey, a senior, was selected for the Northwestern A all-state team. Brackey and fellow senior Kaelen Wall were also named to the all-conference first team. Catcher Sarah Rausch and outfielder Jaiden Toth, also seniors, junior Hannah Potter, sophomore Hannah Fryberger and freshman Kaelyn Smith made the all-conference second team. Honorable mentions went to sophomores Camas Renault and Haley Fyant.
Ronan Maidens Kendra Starkel, a senior, and junior Carston Rhine were named to the Western B-C all-state squad, with Starkel also joining the all-conference first team. Senior Kenzie Dulmes and junior Kaitlyn Sassaman also made the all-conference first team, and junior Jordyn Clairmont was selected for the all-conference second team.
The Mission-Arlee-Charlo Lady Bulldogs, this year’s Western B-C divisional champs, had junior Mikaylan Roylance on the all-state team as well as the all-conference first team. Seniors Emilie Charlo and Shania Dubois were selected for the all-conference second team.
