Ronan High School’s golfers wrapped up their season with a successful trips to State Tuesday and Wednesday. The Maidens played the Pryor Creek course in Huntley Project, while lone Chief Fisher Niemeyer took on Eaglerock Golf Course in Shepherd.
Ronan’s girls combined for a 10th-place team finish with a score of 914, well under 11th-place Glasgow at 937 and Cut Bank with 1,048. Freshman Brooklyn Olson led the way for the Maidens, shooting 113 in the first day of competition and 97 on day two for an overall score of 210. Junior Lauryn Hales also shot a 113 on day one and added 105 in the second round for a total of 218. Junior Kaitlyn Woirhaye (110-111—221) and freshman Teagan Gray (136-129—265) rounded out the Maidens’ squad.
For the Chiefs, Niemeyer managed just 79 strokes in the first round and 82 in the second for an overall score of 161.
