ARLEE — Jerrikson “J-Stylez” Hosteen, a motivational guest speaker dubbed “the first American Indian basketball entertainer in the world” will be at the American Indian Cultural Heritage Day May 21 at Arlee School.
J-Stylez, a Dine Native from Sawmill, Arizona, incorporates numerous juggling, spinning and dribbling basketball tricks into his program.
Students will have the opportunity to engage in many cultural activities throughout the day including beading pouches, native games, setting up a teepee and native plant education.
A social powwow will be held in the new gym from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. All dancers and drummers are invited to come and powwow at the school. For more information, call Willie Wright at (406) 726-3216, ext. 2310.
