PABLO — Lake County residents sat in traffic for an hour and a half on Saturday when a mobile home that was being transported through Pablo fell off a truck. The truck transporting the trailer blocked the two southbound lanes of traffic on U.S. Highway 93.
Ronan Volunteer Fire Department Chief Mark Clary said the truck was moving the trailer from Columbia Falls through Pablo when the axles on the trailer shifted, turning the truck sideways. The trailer, which belongs to Ken Lozeau, pushed the truck onto the side of the road.
The Ronan Volunteer Fire Department responded to the emergency call and removed the trailer from the road safely, and traffic began moving again at 7:17 p.m.
According to Clary, this type of event is rare.
“It was the first time we’ve ever been involved in something like that,” Clary said.
