POLSON – The Pirates and Lady Pirates would accept nothing less than complete domination Saturday as they hosted Columbia Falls and Stevensville and pulled wins on both the boys’ and girls’ sides of the courts.
While posting a couple of double-bagels and a complete sweep, the Pirates beat Columbia Falls 7-0 and Stevensville 4-3.
Doubles teams Colin Kenney/Quaid Harlan and Josh Kinzle/Carson McDaniel each shut out their opponents 6-0, 6-0 against the Wildcats while Tim Russell, Matt Sitter and Jaron Morgan all had 6-0, 6-1 matches.
The Lady Pirates also claimed victory with a 6-1 win against Columbia Falls and 5-2 against Stevensville.
Marlee Congdon and Cassie Carlyle logged the top scores of 6-0, 6-2 and 6-2, 6-0 on the singles side against Columbia Falls while teams Taylor Rost/Shawna Lenz and Danielle Haacke/Saya Shimazaki each finished their matches against Stevensville 6-2, 6-3.
Polson will finish out their regular season with a trip to Whitefish Thursday and then on to Libby Saturday.

BIGFORK – At Bigfork on Wednesday, the Chiefs and Maidens tennis teams took on the Vikings and Valkyries in a couple of close runs, with the girls falling behind and the boys meeting in the middle.
It was a close-but-no-prize kind of day for the Maidens as they fell to Bigfork 3-4. Maidens Sam Ashley and Hannah Kiehn won their matches in the singles division while doubles team Sam Friedlander/ Breanna Turpin took their win into extra sets 4-6, 6-4, 7-5.
For the Chiefs the singles matches took center stage as Fisher Shima, Ryan Dresen and Coleman Taylor all came out on top with Dresen beating his opponent 6-0, 6-2.
Divisionals will boot up for the girls May 8 in Bigfork while the boys will head to Best of the West May 9 with State right behind May 14-16 in Great Falls.
