Arlee/Charlo
CORVALLIS – Track and field teams from both Arlee and Charlo enjoyed the Thursday sun in Corvallis as they competed at the Darby/Florence Invitational.
Leading the girls was Scarlet Carly Hergett who placed first in the 100 hurdles, crossing the line with a time of 16.30 and also topping the triple jump event after landing 32-02.5.
Also impressing for the Scarlets was Alex Adams, who took home a couple of silvers in the pole vault (8-3) and the long jump (15-05.25).
Third place for the girls included Arlee’s Ashley Revis (200m) and coming in with a fourth place finish was Charlo’s Shayna Nagy (800m) and Cheyenne Nagy (300h), Lindsey Tryon (SP) and Arlee’s Bryndle Goyins (Jav).
For the boys, the Charlo relay team of Chandler Krahn, Dalton Delaney, Trent Dennison and Michael Delaney took top honors after placing first in the 1600m race.
Arlee’s Isaac Desjarlais placed second in the 100m posting a time of 11.23 and grabbed bronze in the 800m run.
Other third placers included Vikings Dalton Delaney (1600) and Jesse Long (110h). Michael Delaney placed fourth in the 300 hurdles.
Arlee will head to Thompson Falls Thursday and then on to Missoula Saturday while Charlo will compete in Corvallis on Thursday.
