MONTANA – Montana State Parks has expanded campsite reservation availability at a seven parks across the state, including Big Arm and West Shore State Parks in Lake County.
For the 2015 season, all electrified campsites at West Shore State park are fully reservable.
In addition to increasing the number of campsites available for reservation, the yurt rental season at Big Arm State Park has been extended to include shoulder season dates. Yurts may now be reserved April 14 through Oct.15.
The campsite reservation system is not intended to discourage spontaneous camping use in Montana’s state parks. All non-reserved sites will still be available on a first-come, first-serve basis with a guarantee of one night. Campers can register with Park Staff for additional nights based on the individual site’s availability.
