Justice of the Peace Chuck Wall dealt with the following cases Feb. 24 through March 1:
George Bennett Evans, 44, pleaded not guilty to operating without liability insurance in effect, third or subsequent offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail, all suspended, and fined $500 plus $35 in court costs. Evans also pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail, 179 suspended, and fined $1,000 plus $85 in court costs. He received credit for one day in jail.
Allena Hurene Roberts, 27, pleaded not guilty to the amended offense of driving without a valid driver’s license. She was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail, all suspended, and fined $350 plus $35 in court costs.
Deborah L. Wiedrich, 56, pleaded not guilty to a violation of a dogs-off-leash law. The court’s disposition was no contest, and Wiedrich was fined $50 plus $35 in court costs. In a separate case, Wiedrich pleaded no contest to a violation of a Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks rule or regulation. She was fined $50 plus $35 in court costs.
Andrea Leigh Corpron, 27, pleaded not guilty to the amended offense of operating with alcohol concentration of .08 percent blood alcohol concentration or greater, second offense. She was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail, 179 suspended, and fined $600 plus $85 in court costs. Corpron also pleaded not guilty to operating without liability insurance in effect, first offense. She was found guilty, sentenced to 10 days in jail, all suspended, and fined $150 plus $35 in court costs.
Blanche F. Gobert, 81, pleaded guilty to owner permitting operation of vehicle without liability insurance, first offense. She was found guilty and fined $150 plus $35 in court costs. Gobert also pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. She was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail, 178 suspended, and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs. If Gobert provides proof of a valid driver’s license by March 7, jail will be waived.
Megan Elizabeth Richardson, 21, was fined $50 plus $35 in court costs for a ROW violation, failure to yield to vehicle on through highway. Herbert E. Sias II, 38, pleaded guilty to failure to properly restrain a child under 6 years old and less than 60 pounds. He was found guilty and fined $50 plus $35 in court costs. Sias also pleaded guilty to failure to carry proof or exhibit insurance in vehicle, owner or operator, first offense. He was found guilty and fined $150 plus $35 in court costs.
Arthur Lance Dunkerson, 39, pleaded not guilty to criminal trespass to property. He was found guilty and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 172 suspended.
