RONAN – After a strong start over Drummond in the opening week of play, the Lady Bulldogs found some trouble on the diamond last week as Mission fell in a pair of Western B-C contests.
Tuesday the Lady Bulldogs took on Ronan on the Maidens’ home turf. After five innings of play the Lady Bulldogs kept the score tied but a Maiden rally in the bottom of the sixth set the fate for MAC as the Lady Bulldogs fell 7-3.
Haley Carroll led the Lady Bulldogs at the plate going 2-3 with a pair of singles while Mikaylan Roylance went 2-4 with a double.
At home on Thursday, the Lady Bulldogs held on to an early lead throughout the game but a troubling last inning once again proved to be the demise for MAC, ending in a 5-8 loss against Loyola-Sacred Heart.
Carroll went 2-4 for the Lady Bulldogs and Jaycee Anderson smacked a triple in her 1-4 effort.
Up next for the Lady Bulldogs will be a trek up to Eureka April 10.
