The Lady Bulldogs have done something no other team has been able to do this year, beat Loyola twice. Both teams have been performing well this season and as both are expected to make a big run at state coming up in a few weeks. MAC pitcher Kyla Olson proved she is a force to be dealt with as she defeated Sarah Goodman, one of the top pitchers in the state on Thursday. With the win, Olson improved to 10-2 in the circle this season.

At Loyola, MAC rallied in the top of the seventh by scoring three runs in a come-from-behind 9-8 victory on Thursday. Serena Long’s second hit of the day couldn't have come at a better time, as the single brought home two RBIs, which helped the Lady Bulldogs prevail.

Kinley Pope and Long both finished the day with a pair of hits, while Loren Erickson and Siraha Camacho both finished with one hit.

For the Breakers, Goodman finished the game hitting, 3-4, while Maddie Keast and Caelin Miltko both contributed a pair of hits in the loss.

MAC also faced off against Drummond on Tuesday, where the team held out late in the game to pull out a 7-5 win. It was all Lady Bulldogs during the first two innings, as Mission led 6-2 at the top of the third.

Mission held a four-run lead until Drummond picked up three runs to pull within one during the fifth inning. For the remainder of the game, Olson kept the Trojans at bay, as Drummond was unable to score during the remaining two innings, giving the Lady Bulldogs their ninth win of the season.

Olson only allowed seven hits throughout the game, picking up the win in the circle for the Lady Bulldogs. Janeal McDonald performed well during the game, as she finished with a pair of hits and three RBIs, while Sara Nerby and Pope also went 2-4 at bat.

For Drummond, Rhianna Pool led her team, hitting 2-3, while Sarah Angelo and Krissy Paske both had a hit in the game.

The Lady Bulldogs went on to pick up a pair of wins on Friday as the team took down Troy twice in a doubleheader at St. Ignatius.

In game one, MAC went scoreless through the first three innings before putting up one run in the fourth, followed by an impressive six-run fifth to take a commanding lead that continued to grow as the game progressed.

Pope and McDonald finished the game with three RBIs each, while Mahalia Hendren and Nerby added a hit for the Lady Bulldogs.

Jordan Williams had the only hit for Troy.

It was more of the same for MAC in the second half of the doubleheader, as they blew the team out, 16-0, ending the game in the fifth inning due to the 10-run margin rule. Erickson came in and pitched the last three innings to pick up her first win of the season.

Erickson and McDonald led MAC at bat, combining for four hits, while McDonald had four RBIs in the win.

For Troy, Aniqua Merritt had the only hit for her team, as Erickson and Olson both pitched well to deny any offensive presence in both games.

The Lady Bulldogs will face off against Thompson Falls on May 14, which will be their senior night and final game before divisional play begins the following week.
