Justice of the Peace Chuck Wall dealt with the following cases from Jan. 7 - Jan. 13:
Stephanie Lin Crookshanks, 24, pleaded not guilty to an amended charge of reckless driving. She was found guilty and sentenced to 90 days in jail with 89 days suspended, and fined $300 plus $35 in court costs.
Robert Ryan Garnache, 36, pleaded not guilty to an amended charge of deriving without a valid driver’s license, expired less than 180 days. He was found guilty and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs.
Heather Ornell Wippert, 30, pleaded not guilty for failing to carry proof of insurance in vehicle. She was found guilty and fined $150 plus $35 in court costs. She also pleaded not guilty to speeding, but was found guilty and fined $60 plus $35 in court costs.
Tory J. Bick, 23, pleaded not guilty to an amended offense of driving without a valid driver’s license. She was found guilty and sentenced to 180 days with all suspended, and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs.
Paul Potasky, 37, pleaded not guilty to an amended offense of operating without liability insurance in effect, first offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 10 days in jail with all suspended, and fined $150 plus $35 in court costs. Potasky also pleaded not guilty to an amended offense of operating with alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent BAC or greater, first offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with all suspended, and fined $400 plus $85 in court costs.
Kayla Marie Kurpius, 22, pleaded no contest to careless driving, two-vehicle crash. She was fined $50 plus $35 in court costs.
Merlyn James Snyder, 55, pleaded not guilty to operating with alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent BAC or greater, first offense. He was found guilty, sentenced to 10 days with all suspended, and fined $400 plus $85 in court costs.
Pamela Keenan Allensworth, 44, pleaded not guilty to an amended offense of operating with alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent BAC or greater, first offense. She was found guilty, sentenced to 10 days in jail with all suspended, and fined $400 plus $85 in court costs.
Rebecca Louise Gurdzien, 54, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, first offense. She was found guilty, sentenced to 365 days in jail with 364 suspended (completed Jan. 13), and fined $400 plus $85 in court costs.
Matthew Cole Sandberg, 19, pleaded guilty to criminal mischief, a misdemeanor. He was found guilty and fined $115 plus $85 in court costs.
Michael Leonard Roloff, 27, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of driving without a valid driver’s license. He was found guilty and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs.
Perry Joseph Penfield, 32, pleaded no contest to driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is revoked or suspended. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 178 suspended and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs. If Penfield can provide proof of valid driver’s license by Feb. 7, jail time will be waived.
Paul David Necessary, 61, pleaded guilty to driving without a valid driver’s license. He was found guilty and fined $50 plus $35 in court costs.
Ty Michael Smith, 19, pleaded guilty to operating with alcohol concentration of 0.02 percent BAC, under 21 years of age, first offense. He was found guilty and fined $125 plus $35 in court costs. He also pleaded guilty to operating without liability insurance in effect, first offense. Smith was found guilty and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs. Smith pleaded not guilty to an amended sentence of driving without a valid driver’s license. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with all suspended, and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs.
Murnice Edwin Myers, 53, pleaded guilty to driving without a valid driver’s license. He was found guilty and fined $50 plus $35 in court costs. Myers also pleaded guilty to operating without liability insurance in effect. He was found guilty and fined $150 plus $35 in court costs.
Eddie Robert Cowen, 26, pleaded guilty to failing to carry proof of insurance in vehicle. He was found guilty and fined $150 plus $35 in court costs.
Katie M. Curry, 27, pleaded guilty to endangering welfare of a child, first violation. She was found guilty and sentenced to 180 days in jail with all suspended and fined $100 plus $85 in court costs.
Teresa Sheumaker, 39, pleaded guilty to obstructing a peace officer or other public servant. She was found guilty and fined $200 plus $85 in court costs.
