News from the Polson Chamber of Commerce
POLSON — For 20 years beautiful flower baskets have graced the downtown area throughout the summer months. Sponsored by the Polson Chamber of Commerce Beautification Committee, the baskets are created each spring by Delaney’s Landscape Center and tended throughout the summer by staff members of Polson City Parks. It’s an effort that now encompasses 85 baskets on Main Street and First Streets East and West. Funded entirely by donations, the effort costs $14,000 each year.
To ensure that downtown Polson will be full of flowers once again, the Chamber is embarking on a fundraising effort assisted by the Greater Polson Community Foundation, which will accept donations on behalf of this project. Because of their 501(c) 3 status, donations to the beautification effort can now be tax deductible.
Residents and businesses also have an opportunity to sponsor a basket to promote their business or designate a basket as a memorial for a loved one. The cost of each sponsorship/memorial is $150 for the year, and the cost includes signage on the pole holding the basket.
Information about the flower basket program and a donation form are available online at www.polsonchamber.com or at the Chamber at 418 Main Street.
