POLSON — Losing weight doesn’t seem to be working for me so I’m going to concentrate on getting taller.
The veterans’ representative will be here on the third Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m.–noon.

In the senior no-tap bowling league, Cris Alter rolled 253 for high women’s game while hubby, Larry, had 296 for the high men’s game. The same two scored high series with Cris’ 657 and Larry’s 736. Larry nearly had a perfect 300 in game but left three pins standing with his last ball. Alice Johnson captured the high women’s handicap series with 676 and Gene Johnson rolled a 756 for the high men’s handicap series.
Our lunch menu for the coming week will be:
• Thursday, Feb. 19: enchiladas and rice
• Friday, Feb. 20: barbecue sandwich, French fries
• Monday, Feb. 23: bean with ham soup, sandwich
• Tuesday, Feb. 24: baked ham, scalloped potatoes
• Wednesday, Feb. 25: spaghetti and garlic bread
Lunch is served from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Life is too short to be serious all the time, so if you can’t laugh at yourself, just call me and I’ll laugh at you. Have a good week.
