AAU tournament brings large crowd

RONAN – AAU teams from around the region came to the Ronan Event Center Saturday to go head to head in a five-on-five tournament. Both boys and girls from grades five through eight participated in the event, which brought in 32 teams. The tournament ran from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. Teams from the Mission Valley included Ronan, Polson, Mission, and Charlo.
“It was a full day of basketball,” Steve Woll said.
There was no official tournament champion, as the tournament was more about area teams getting together to share a common love for the sport.
In all, there were 50 games played throughout the day.
