One suspect is in custody for an alleged automated teller machine theft from Community Bank in Polson on Jan. 30.
Cory Robert Franklin, 32, Lakeside, was arrested and is being held at the Flathead County Detention Center on unrelated charges, including an alleged violation of probation and parole. Franklin was in possession of a stolen truck from the Kalispell area when he was arrested.
Franklin and another man alledgedly walked in the front door of the bank, tipped the ATM over, cut the power cords, which triggered the alarm, and carried the ATM out the door, according to Polson Police.
Detectives from the Polson Police Department, Flathead County Sheriff’s Department, Whitefish Police Department, agents from the Mission Valley and Northwest Drug Task Force, and the FBI executed search warrants in the Flathead County area.
Franklin will be formally charged in Lake County on Monday.
