News from the North Lake County Public Library
POLSON — Free technology classes are being offered at North Lake County Public Library in Polson during the month of February. Space is limited, so please call the library at (406) 883-8225 to register.
• Wednesday, Feb. 11: Simple Photo Editing with PicMonkey, 3-4 p.m. PicMonkey is a free photo editing website. This class will teach you how to crop, adjust color, and add text and other features to your digital photos. Please bring a flash drive with a picture on it for editing, or have access to a photo via your email.
• Tuesday, Feb. 17: Introduction to the Internet, 11 a.m.-noon and 2-3 p.m. This is a session for those with little or no experience using the Web. The class will teach terminology, how to navigate the Web effectively, Internet safety, and other beginning skills.
• Monday, Feb. 23: Introduction to Microsoft Word, 2:30-3:30 p.m. Students in this class will learn how to create new documents, save documents, share via email, and adjust fonts and font colors. The session is intended for those with little to no experience using Word.
• Wednesday, Feb. 25: Facebook Basics, 3-4 p.m. Facebook Basics is an introductory class in which students will learn about creating a Facebook account, setting up privacy settings, messaging, finding your friends, navigating and posting to your timeline, and uploading pictures.
As always, if you see a class you’d like to take, but can’t make it at the scheduled time, please call the library for an individual free session. The library is located at #2 First Ave. E. in Polson.
