ARLEE – Cortney Dix, Becca Nelson and Mahalia Hendren each had 10 kills for the Scarlets in their loss to the Lady Bulldogs Tuesday night at home. Whitney Malatare also added 19 of 87 team digs. Sara Nerby had 12 kills and Ashley Courville had 17 digs for the Lady Bulldogs.
On Thursday, the Scarlets bounced back and trounced Lincoln 3-0. Hendren led the team with nine kills and four blocks. Bailey Rice tallied 15 digs; Nelson added seven aces and Dix had 14 of Arlee’s 18 assists.
The Arlee Scarlets hosted 14 teams at the third annual Spike It tournament on Saturday. Teams were seeded according to how many points they scored in each game. Superior won the tournament over Drummond 21-8, 15-21.
