WHITEFISH – The Lady Pirates had something to smile about after picking up their first win of the season.
While in Whitefish Saturday, the Lady Pirates kenneled the Lady Bulldogs in a Northwestern A bout, picking up the 45-36 win. After leading the first half, the Lady Pirates cushioned their lead in the third, posting 10 more than their opponent.
Lady Pirate Nichole Lake led all scorers, netting 15 points for Polson also chipping in 10 rebounds. Lauren Lefthand added nine points.
The Lady Pirates hope to keep the wins coming when they host Frenchtown Friday.
