News from Ronan High School
The Ronan High School Speech and Debate team had an outstanding showing at the Southern B/C Divisional tournament in Three Forks on Saturday. Of the 19 students who competed, 13 will be traveling to the State B/C Tournament in Ennis Jan. 30-31.
As a team, the Chiefs and Maidens scored a team-high 63 sweepstakes points and took third place overall.
Individual finishes were as follows:
Jessie Lewis - first place in Spontaneous Interpretation
Ryan Dresen - first place in Humorous Interpretation
Roman Hall - second place in Humorous Interpretation
Daniel Koehler - third place in Serious Interpretation
Sam Friedlander - fourth place in Humorous Interpretation
Alej Segura - fifth in Memorized Public Address
Samantha Metzger - sixth in Original Oratory
Kail Cheff - sixth in Extemporaneous Speaking
Eli Carey - seventh in Serious Interpretation
Camas Whitworth - eighth in Expository Speaking
Julia Matkovich and Jenaya Burns - ninth in Policy Debate
Jacob Dresen - Alternate in Memorized Public Address
