Barron to speak at Pachyderm meeting

POLSON — Bill Barron, who is beginning the first year of his second term as Lake County Commissioner, will be the featured speaker at the Friday, January 23, 2015, meeting of the Lake County Pachyderm Club.
Commissioner Barron will be giving a general “State of the County” report discussing such issues as the planned courthouse expansion and sources of tax revenue when Kerr Dam ownership transfers to the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes. Time will also be allowed for questions and answers.
Pachyderms meet at the Polson Rural Fire Department Building on Regatta Road west of the bridge. The meeting starts at noon and adjourns at 1 p.m. Brown bag lunches are encouraged during the social time, which begins at 11:30 a.m.
Anyone interested in learning about local community issues are cordially invited to attend. Membership in the Pachyderm Club is not required.
