POLSON — If you missed the 2012 Mission Valley Bridal Fair Jan. 15, you missed quite a show.

From DJs and florists to caterers and tuxedo and dress shops, the expo at the KwaTaqNuk Resort offered something for everyone involved in a wedding. After visiting with vendors about details of their big day, brides, grooms and their family and friends enjoyed a performance of the Black Satin Revue, a local burlesque dance group, before a fashion show took over the catwalk. Bev's Bloomers, St-Char-Ro Floral and Dawn's Flower Designs provided beautiful bouquets for models to carry during the fashion show, which featured the latest in bridal and tuxedo fashions from First Resort Clothing of Polson and Mimi's Bridal of Kalispell. The ladies at Polson's Cutting Edge salon styled all the models’ hair, and Extremely Tuned DJ Services of Lakeside and Riverhaus Productions of Missoula provided sound and emceeing.

"We sincerely appreciate the hard work of all our vendors. They truly put on a first class show for the Mission Valley. Everyone's booths were extremely well done," said event organizer Summer Goddard.

The Valley Journal also appreciates the many brides, grooms and their friends and family members who attended. Forty-five brides registered for the event, coming from as far away as Miles City and Spokane, Wash.. All brides who called and registered before the Bridal Fair were sent a personal invitation, and any bride who brought her invitation with her to the event was given a unique picture frame provided by Polson Hallmark.

Bride Kyani Murphy was the lucky winner of a drawing for a gift basket valued at more than $1,000.

"We look forward to an even better event next year," Goddard added. "We've got some fresh new ideas and fun surprises planned."
