News from Mission Valley Christian Academy
POLSON — Students from the Mission Valley Christian Academy spent several days last week visiting the Polson Health and Rehabilitation center, St. Joe’s retirement home and the Retreat. Recorders, Orff instruments and singing Christmas carols were presented and the residents enjoyed singing along with the students. Mr. Charles Bertsch led the third through sixth grade music classes, while Mr. Chris Bumgarner had the upper school choir sing a variety of Christmas songs. The staff from MVCA encouraged the students to connect with the residents after sharing their music. Asking questions, sharing favorite school memories and finding more about each other was the goal. The students were warmly received and remarked at how the residents made them feel welcome and appreciated.
