Judge C.B. McNeil dealt with the following case Wednesday, March 23:
Ronee Martin, 22, Pablo, had her bond reduced and was released on her own recognizance because she is eight months pregnant. She was being held for an amended charge of issuing a bad check, a felony.
According to court documents, charges stem from August and September 2009 when Martin allegedly wrote several bad checks to merchants throughout Lake County.
Judge Deborah Kim Christopher dealt with the following cases Thursday, March 24:
Jessica Marie Longneck, 28, Polson, had her sentence deferred for six years for an amended charge of aggravated assault, a felony. In addition, Longneck is to serve 180 days in Lake County Jail. If she is in specific compliance with all conditions of probation and chemical dependency treatment, Longneck will receive credit against the 180 days jail time.
According to court documents, charges stem from a September 2009 incident where her boyfriend came to Tribal Law and Order with a knife wound to his chest. He told the officers that Longneck, his girlfriend, had stabbed him. The boyfriend was later life-flighted to St. Patrick’s Hospital in Missoula. Longneck also received a cut on her forehead and told a Lake County Sheriff’s deputy that her boyfriend was hitting her, so she stabbed him. She later admitted she had lied about him hitting her, and Longneck had stabbed him to keep him from leaving her.
Scott Wade McAfee, 31, Ronan, entered a general denial to allegations of breaking rules of his probation in response to a request to revoke his suspended sentence for theft and burglary. An adjudicatory hearing is set for Thursday, April 7 at 9 a.m.
According to court documents, the charges stem back to 2001 when McAfee stole a large amount of coins from a Ronan residence.
