Adrian M. McElderry, 32, was arrested and charged with deliberate homicide in the shooting death of Raelynn M. Charlo. McElderry is currently being held in the Lake County Detention Facility without bond pending the arraignment hearing.
CHARLO — On Tuesday at 5:07 a.m. the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch received a call from a male subject stating that his wife had just shot herself. LCSO deputies arrived at the residence on 1st Street in Charlo and determined that the evidence found there was inconsistent with statements given by the male subject who made the 911 call, according to Karen Sargeant, public information officer for the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. These inconsistent statements resulted in the male being detained by law enforcement.
The Lake County Coroner identified the victim as 29-year-old Raelynn M. Charlo. Charlo’s body was transported to the State Crime Lab in Missoula and is awaiting autopsy results to determine exact cause of death. Investigators remained at the scene all day yesterday and the investigation is continuing.
