Lady Pirates fall in second round at Divisionals

LIBBY – After a first round win, the Lady Pirates had a tough time getting past opponents in the Northwestern A Divisional Tournament, taking the 1-2 divisional battle record home to complete their season.
In game one on Friday, the Lady Pirates dominated Whitefish, pulverizing the Lady Bulldogs in the 3-0 sweep.
Polson dipped down for a total of 76 digs with Libby Clay responsible for 18. Chadelle Smith chipped in 12 kills.
Round two on Saturday brought the Lady Pirates to face Columbia Falls, falling to the Wildkats 0-3. Columbia Falls would continue on to win the Northwestern A crown punching their ticket into the State Tourney.
Jaiden Toth led the Lady Pirates in assists with 23, a pair of blocks, and serving the Lady Pirates lone ace. Clay took the lead in digs with 19.
In the loser out match against Libby, the Lady Pirates played their final match of the season with a loss against the Lady Loggers 0-3.
Clay finished out the tournament with a team high 52 digs in three matches chipping in 15 in game three. Jaiden Toth produced 16 assists to add to a three game number of 58.
The Lady Pirates will finish their season with an overall record of 7-9.
