CHARLO – While hosting Darby on Friday, the Vikings scored in three of four quarters but came up short by only a single point, falling to the Tigers 42-43.
Through the tough loss, Viking junior Jade Smith put 127 yards of green under his feet on 17 carries resulting in three touchdowns. Smith also snagged another three in the air, once for a score. Defensively Smith was responsible for 13 total tackles.
Quarterback Trent Dennison was 12-17 for 160 yards, tossing a pair of touchdowns.
This will complete the Vikings regular season play, finishing with a 4-3 final record. Playoff season for Western C 8-man football will begin Nov. 1.
