Lady Pirates take second at Hamilton Invitational

HAMILTON – At the Hamilton Invitational on Saturday, the Lady Pirates ruled the top spots in the valley taking second overall with a team score of 51 while Ronan placed fifth with a score of 255.
Lady Pirates Ryan Harrop, Malia Seeley and Isabella Seemann all placed top ten with Harrop faring the best in the six slot with a time of 20:35. Seeley came in right behind in seventh finishing at 20:36 and Seemann topped out the top 10 in tenth crossing the finish line at 20:50.
Penny Weyant and Tashyna Matt finished with the top scores for Ronan placing 33rd and 35th with Weyant logging a 23:28 time and Matt at 23:46.
For the boys, it was Ronan’s Jackson Duffey who topped the list finishing in 13th with a 3-mile time of 17:30. Polson also posted three in the top 25 with 16th place going to freshman Zach Evertz (17:36), Thunder Morales in at 22nd (18:14) and Warren Wood sneaking in at 24th with a time of 18:25.
Polson finished fourth with an overall team score of 131 while Ronan took sixth as a team with a score of 223.
Polson will travel to Helena Oct. 9 while all other valley teams will compete in Whitefish Oct 11.
