Public comment sought on draft Montana State Water Plan

HELENA — After dozens of public meetings and hundreds of submitted comments, the draft 2015 Montana State Water Plan is available for review – and the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation is seeking public comment on the document. The Montana State Water Plan provides guidance for the conservation and management of water resources in Montana for the next 20 years. Locally, the public meeting to collect comment on the draft plan will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 8, at Salish Kootenai College in the Late Louie Caye Memorial Bldg, Room 105.
DNRC will also accept written public comment on the plan between Sept. 24 and Oct. 26. To submit written comment, visit the DNRC Web site at http://www.dnrc.mt.gov/. An online comment form and a copy of the draft plan can also be found on the same Web page.
