Two Eagle River
ARLEE – The Lady Eagles had a tough week with “close-but-no-prize” matches.
Bringing it to four sets on Thursday, the Lady Eagles fell to Arlee while giving the Scarlets a run.
Tyra Michel led the Lady Eagles with 13 kills, eight blocks, seven assists, and seven aces. Misty Mendoza had 13 digs for the Lady Eagles.
At home on Saturday, the Lady Eagles took a sweep from Superior’s Lady Bobcats 0-3 but not without a fight. Superior just barely squeezed by in the bottom two sets.
Gabby Big Beaver had 10 digs for the Lady Eagles while Cassidi Wunderlich added four aces.
The Lady Eagles will play in St. Regis Sept. 20.
