T is for thankful. I am extremely thankful for your commitment to the fight against cancer. So far this year, Lake County has raised more than $50,000 for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. That is incredible. Thank you.
H is for hard work. I know it takes a lot of hard work for everyone involved with Relay. Whether it is being a team captain, raising money as a team member or being a volunteer of the Relay For Life Leadership Commitee, you all deserve a round of applause for your hard work.
A is for accomplishments. The Relay For Life-Lake County has accomplished so much this year.
N is for never-ending commitment to the cause. Lake County Relay is in its 16th year here. I am continually amazed at the number of people here who come out year after year. It truly is about a community that takes up the fight, and you are all a testament to that.
K is for kindness. It is through the kindness of the people and businesses in Lake County that makes Relay such a success here. You all care about cancer. You all care about each other. It is your kindness that makes this Relay what it is.
Y is for youth. I was excited to see the youth at our Relay, from the elementary school to the high school students. As fundraisers, as team captains, that is awesome. Cheers to the youth of Lake County. Kids truly do care.
O is for outstanding cooperation, despite the rain.
U is for unconditional support for the cause. Cancer has impacted so many lives in this community. You all provide unconditional support to each other, to the Relay, and to improving the public health here.
So, thank you from all of your friends at the Lake County Relay For Life. You are all amazing people.
