DPHHS: discard cinnamon products

News from DPHHS MONTANA — The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is advising consumers to throw away and not purchase specific ground cinnamon products because samples of these products were found to contain levels of lead that may be unsafe. One of these products, Supreme Tradition ground cinnamon, has been distributed at Family Dollar and Dollar Tree stores in Montana. These stores currently operate in Flathead, , Glacier, Lake, Sanders Counties. The FDA in October 2023 recalled cinnamon apple puree and applesauce products due to elevated lead levels linked to the cinnamon in those products and the concern for lead toxicity in children.  Montana state health off...
