LAKE COUNTY – The 2020 Primary Election ballots were collected from the mail-in June 2 race with all precincts fully reported, although the results are not yet official.
Montana had a 54 percent turnout, and Lake County saw a 53 percent turnout with 10,206 total ballots counted. In Lake County, 18,934 voters are registered.
For President of the United States, the overall democrat vote in Lake County was for Joe Biden who had 3,038 votes, 78 percent. Bernie Sanders received 526 votes, 13 percent. Elizabeth Warren had 244 votes, six percent.
In the Republican race, Donald Trump received 92 percent of the Lake County vote with 5,536 votes. Six percent of voters had no preference with a total of 331.
For United States Senator, Steve Bullock, Democrat, received 3,795 votes with 97 percent. Mike Knoles had two percent with 62 votes. John Mues also had two percent with 61 votes.
For the Green party’s United States Senate race, Dennis Daneke received 33 percent of the vote, and Wendie Fredrickson had 22 percent.
For Republicans, Steve Daines received 84 percent of the vote for United States Senate with 4,946 votes. John Brian Driscoll had eight percent of the vote with 458 votes.
For United States Representative in the Democrat race, Kathleen Williams had 92 percent of the vote with 3,543 votes. Tom Winter had eight percent with 313. John Gibney had 62 percent of the vote for the Green party.
For Republicans the United States Representative race saw Joe Dooling with seven percent of the vote at 411. John Evankovich had two percent with 99 votes. Debra Lamm has six percent with 361. Mark J. McGinley had three percent with 170 votes. Matt Rosendale had 47 percent of the vote with 2,792 votes. Corey Stapleton had 35 percent with 2,103.
For governor and lieutenant governor in the Democrat race, Mike Cooney and Casey Schreiner received 43 percent of the vote at 1,649. Whitney Williams and Buzz Mattelin had 57 percent of the vote with 2,179. Green party candidates Robert Barb and Joshua Thomas had 71 percent of the vote in that race with 12 votes.
In the Republican race for governor and lieutenant governor, Tim Fox and Jon Knokey had 23 percent of the votes with 1,391. Greg Gianforte and Kristen Juras had 46 percent with 2,809. Al “Doc” Olszewski and Ken Bogner had 31 percent with 1,934.
The Secretary of State contest had Bryce Bennett with 99 percent of the Democrat vote for 3,309.
In the Republican race for Secretary of State, Bowen Greenwood had seven percent of the vote with 352. Christi Jacobsen had 28 percent with 1,489. Brad Johnson had 29 percent with 1,556. Kurt Johnson had five percent with 286. Forrest J. Mandeville had nine percent with 479. Scott Sales had 22 percent with 1,198.
For Attorney General in the Democrat race, Kimberly P. Dudik had 45 percent of the vote with 1,640. Raph Graybill had 55 percent with 2,015.
The Green party for Attorney General had Roy Davis on the ballot with 71 percent of the vote for 12 votes. The Republican race for Attorney General had Jon Bennion with 36 percent of the vote and 1,940 votes. Austin Knudsen had 64 percent and 3,431.
For State Auditor, the Democrat vote was for Shane A Morigeau at 79 percent and 2,847 votes. Mike Winsor had 20 percent with 734.
The Republican State Auditor race saw Troy Downing with 52 percent of the vote at 2,809. Nelly Nicol had 17 percent with 915. Scott “Tux” Tuxbury had 30 percent with 1,645.
State Superintendent of Public Instruction saw Melissa Romano with 100 percent of the Democrat vote and 3,392 votes. For the Republican race, Elsie Arntzen had 98 percent of the vote with 4,854 votes.
Supreme Court Justice #5 had a nonpartisan vote for Mike Black with 29 percent and 2,443 votes. Laurie McKinnon had 53 percent with 4,497. Mars Scott had 19 percent with 1,588.
In the nonpartisan race for Supreme Court Justice #6, Jim Shea had 99 percent of the vote with 7,977 votes.
State Senator District 6 in the Republican race had Greg Hertz with 99 percent of the vote at 2,306 votes.
For State Representative District 10 in the Democrat race, Jennifer Allen had 98 percent of the vote with 249.
In the Republican race for State Representative of District 10, Doug Mahlum had 40 percent of the vote with 243. Mark Noland had 60 percent of the vote with 366.
The State Representative District 15 in the Democrat race had Marvin R. Weatherwax Jr. with 58 percent of the vote and 352 votes. Nick White had 42 percent with 253 votes.
District Court Judge for District 20 in department one saw a nonpartisan vote for Ben Anciaux with 28 percent of the vote at 2,386. James A. Manley had 72 percent of the vote at 6,215 votes.
For State Senator in District 47, Chase Porter Gay, in the Democrat race, had 99 percent of the vote with 1,069. The State Senator District 47 in the Green Party had Gary Marbut with 50 percent of the vote at three votes.
The race for State Senator in District 47 in the Republican race had Dan Salomon with 95 percent of the vote at 1,547.
For State Representative in District 12 for the Democrats, Gerry Browning had 99 percent of the vote with 1,339. And for the Republican vote, Linda Reksten received 98 percent of the vote with 2,147.
The State Representative in District 93 race for Democrat Lisa M. Pavlock came in at 1,110 votes at 100 percent of the vote. For the Republicans, Ralph Foster had 31 percent of the vote with 526. Joe Read had 69 percent of the vote with 1,175.
Lyn Platt Fricker, Republican, received 99 percent of the vote with 5,141 in the race for Lake County Clerk of District Court.
For Lake County Commissioner in District 1, William “Bill” Barron, Republican, received 52 percent of the vote with 3,008. Cory Knutson, Republican, received 47 percent of the vote with 2,707.
For the Precinct Committeewoman POL 5 HD12 Carolyn Joyce Pardini, Democrat, received 46 percent of the vote with 183. Susan Rittenhouse, a Democrat, received 53 percent of the vote with 210.
